Caroline GSELL Quartet

“French songs & Jazz music”

Singer and Vocalist from Brussels, Caroline GSELL, after several years spent in the United States, moved to the South of France. She created her Jazz formation, the “Caroline GSELL Quartet”.

Mixing styles, she joined the group “Soul Latitude”, founded the “Nice Gospel Soul Choir”, joined the “Monte Carlo Jazz Big Band”, and was invited by the “Nice Jazz Orchestra” directed by Pierre BERTRAND.

His career and his research in the world of Jazz, Soul and Gospel allow him to express all his sensitivity through a captivating voice that goes straight to the heart.

Under the impetus of pianist and arranger Jean-Marc SAJAN, this innovative project allows us to rediscover the unforgettable melodies that have rocked our childhood. This repertoire of French songs is completely revisited in the Jazz style, with the most popular melodies such as “La Vie en Rose”, “La Javanaise”, “La Foule”, “Milord”, but also “Téléphone-moi” by Nicole Croisille or “Syracuse” Henri Salvador …

The style is alive, it escapes fashion, privileging the moment. It alternates energy and intimacy.

Around the talented singer Caroline GSELL meets a trio of shock: Tony SGRO on bass and double bass, Sébastien POURRAT on drums and Jean-Marc SAJAN, arranger and artistic director of the project, on keyboards.

Four of them, they have found a new musical color, imprint of modernity but still very accessible to a wide audience.

Line-up :
Caroline GSELL, Vocal
Jean-Marc SAJAN, Keyboards
